NFL Insider Hints At Blockbuster Trade: 'It's Coming'

With the 2025 NFL Draft just days away, one of the league’s top insiders is hinting that the event could be shaken up by a major trade.

ESPN’s Peter Schrager reported that both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants have received calls from teams eager to move into the top three picks.

The Browns currently hold the second overall selection, while the Giants are slated to pick third. Schrager described the interest as serious, with multiple teams inquiring about what it would take to make a jump up the board.

“There have been phone calls made to both the Browns at two and the Giants at three with the intention to move up,” Schrager said on Tuesday.

While he didn’t specify which teams were involved, the growing buzz suggests that quarterback-hungry franchises could be plotting a bold move to secure one of the top prospects. With no trades yet involving first-round picks, the draft’s early hours could suddenly turn chaotic if one of these blockbuster deals comes to fruition.

The fact that teams are making aggressive calls now indicates the calm before the storm may not last long.

If a top-three pick is moved, it would instantly reshape the early dynamics of the draft and possibly set off a chain reaction of trades and unexpected picks.
