BREAKING: Cooper Kupp Signs With New Team

The Seattle Seahawks are signing longtime Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp to a three-year, $45 million contract, according to multiple reports.

Kupp, 31, was released by the Rams earlier this week after the team failed to find a trade partner. The move brings him back to his home state of Washington, where he played college football at Eastern Washington.

"Washington back across my chest. Let’s go!!!!!" Kupp posted on X after the deal was announced.

Kupp joins a Seahawks team undergoing a major offensive transformation. Seattle moved on from its top two receivers, trading DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers and releasing Tyler Lockett.

Quarterback Geno Smith was also dealt to the Las Vegas Raiders, with Sam Darnold stepping in as the new starter. Kupp, a former Super Bowl MVP and 2021 Offensive Player of the Year, will now be a primary target alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The Seahawks also added veteran deep threat Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million.

Despite battling injuries in recent years, Kupp remains a proven playmaker. He caught 67 passes for 710 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season, but his role in Los Angeles diminished with the emergence of Puka Nacua.

Now, he will have the opportunity to face his former team twice a year as the Seahawks look to reshape their offense and stay competitive in the NFC West.
