Report: Myles Garrett Very Interested In Joining One Team

Myles Garrett has made it clear that he wants out of Cleveland, and the Philadelphia Eagles are at the top of his list of preferred destinations.

Speaking with Zach Gelb, Garrett called Philadelphia “a hell of a destination,” fueling speculation about a potential blockbuster move. While the Browns have publicly dismissed trade talks, with a team spokesperson stating, “we aren’t entertaining trade offers for Myles,” the star pass-rusher’s desire to compete for a Super Bowl could push the situation to a breaking point.

Garrett, who has recorded double-digit sacks in each of the last seven seasons, has only one playoff win in his eight-year career and may be ready for a change after Cleveland’s disastrous 3-14 campaign.

Philadelphia’s defensive front remains one of the league’s strongest, but the pass rush struggled at times, ranking 15th in sacks this season. With Brandon Graham contemplating retirement and Josh Sweat set to hit free agency, the Eagles could look to add an elite edge rusher.

Garrett, who finished with 14 sacks despite playing through injuries, would be a game-changer alongside young stars like Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith Jr. However, financial hurdles complicate a deal, as Garrett is expected to seek an extension worth around $34 million annually.

The Eagles have limited cap space in 2025 and must also address key free agents like Zack Baun and Milton Williams, making a trade difficult without a lot of roster adjustments.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman refused to directly address the speculation, simply smiling and saying, “Nice try, though.”

If Philadelphia wins the Super Bowl, they may focus on retaining their core, but a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs could increase the urgency to bolster the defense.

For now, Cleveland insists Garrett isn’t available, but his public comments suggest he’s looking for a way out—and Philadelphia remains a team to watch.
