Report: Davante Adams "Intrigued" By 3 Teams

Davante Adams appears to be on his way out of New York, with multiple reports indicating the Jets are expected to release him this offseason.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Adams, who carries a $38.3 million cap hit in 2025, is “intrigued by the West Coast” and could consider teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, and San Francisco 49ers.

Releasing Adams before June 1 would save the Jets nearly $30 million in cap space, making his departure likely, especially after the team decided to move on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The 32-year-old receiver remains one of the NFL’s most productive playmakers, surpassing 1,000 yards in each of the last five seasons.

In 2024, he totaled 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games between the Las Vegas Raiders and Jets. The Chargers are searching for a top-tier receiver to pair with Justin Herbert, while the Rams could see Adams as a potential replacement for Cooper Kupp, who is reportedly on the trade block.

San Francisco already has Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk but could still explore adding Adams if the opportunity presents itself. “He will have options, and I’m told that he is intrigued by the West Coast,” Fowler said on SportsCenter.

A native of East Palo Alto, California, Adams played college football at Fresno State and spent three seasons with the Raiders before being traded to the Jets last October.

While it’s unclear if he would consider another reunion with the Green Bay Packers, a return to the West Coast would bring him closer to home and place him on a contending team.
