Report: Deion Sanders Has List Of NFL Teams He Won't Let Draft His Son Shedeur

Deion Sanders, legendary NFL Hall of Famer and current Colorado Buffaloes head coach, has made it clear he will intervene in the NFL Draft process to protect his son, Shedeur Sanders, from landing with certain franchises.

Expected to be a top-10 pick and potentially the first quarterback selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, Shedeur’s future is a major talking point.

Speaking on the Tamron Hall Show, Deion revealed, “It’s not like who I would like for him to play for. It’s a couple of teams that I won’t allow him to play for. This is my profession. I know what’s behind the curtain.”

While he didn’t name specific organizations, Sanders has previously criticized poorly managed teams with a history of losing, raising speculation about who might be on his "no" list.

Teams such as the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans, known for their struggles in quarterback development and long-term competitiveness, are rumored to be among those Deion might steer Shedeur away from.

On Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Deion referenced the actions of John Elway and Eli Manning, both of whom famously refused to play for certain teams after being drafted.

Sanders suggested Shedeur could take a similar approach if necessary, saying he would step in to protect his son from "foolishness." Despite this, Shedeur has expressed a more open perspective, stating, “Whatever happens happens. I know at the end of the day God is gonna put me on the right team.”

Meanwhile, Shedeur has been linked to quarterback-needy franchises like the New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, and even the New York Jets, where major markets and stronger organizational appeal might align with the Sanders family’s criteria.
