NFL Rumors: Update On Browns' Myles Garrett Trade Rumors
The Cleveland Browns have put to rest any speculation about trading star defensive end Myles Garrett, despite their disappointing 3-14 season.
Speaking at the Senior Bowl, General Manager Andrew Berry firmly dismissed the idea of moving Garrett, even for offers involving two first-round picks. “You can put that on the record,” Berry stated, making it clear Garrett remains untouchable.
Berry also expressed the team’s intent to keep Garrett in Cleveland for the entirety of his career, saying, “We want him to retire here,” and hinted at a third contract to ensure the defensive cornerstone stays in place.

Garrett continues to dominate on the field, finishing the 2024 season with 14 sacks, 28 quarterback hits, and 84 pressures, despite facing double teams on 30% of pass-rush attempts.
His performance earned him another Defensive Player of the Year nomination, and he became the first player in NFL history to record at least 14 sacks in four consecutive seasons.
With 102.5 career sacks, Garrett is already the Browns’ all-time leader and remains a key figure in their long-term plans. Berry called him “a big piece of our future” and envisions Garrett’s contributions leading to a Hall of Fame career.

The Browns are exploring a potential extension for Garrett, whose current deal runs through 2026, to manage salary cap challenges while securing his future.
Sitting $30 million over the cap for 2025, the team views Garrett’s leadership and production as essential to their rebuild.
