NFL Trade Rumors: 3 Landing Spots For Budda Baker

As the November 5 NFL trade deadline nears, the Arizona Cardinals are exploring options to move veteran safety Budda Baker, their top trade asset.

With the team sitting at 3-4 and aiming to rebuild under GM Monti Ossenfort, a trade would allow Arizona to gain draft capital while maintaining financial flexibility.

Baker, a six-time Pro Bowler, is set to become a free agent in 2025 and is unlikely to receive an extension. "It's got to be a situation that makes sense for us," Ossenfort emphasized, signaling the Cardinals' openness to a deal that syncs up with their long-term plans.

Despite being 28, Baker remains productive, ranking fourth in the NFL with 60 tackles this season.

Three teams have emerged as the most likely landing spots for Baker.

The undefeated Minnesota Vikings are in urgent need of defensive help, ranking 30th in passing yards allowed. Baker’s versatility and playmaking ability could be pivotal for coordinator Brian Flores, who favors three-safety schemes.

The Philadelphia Eagles also appear to be strong contenders, despite a 4-2 record.

Their pass defense ranks 21st, and Baker could provide immediate reinforcement, especially as young safeties Sydney Brown and Quinyon Mitchell recover from injuries.

GM Howie Roseman, known for bold midseason trades, may view Baker as a key piece for a deeper playoff run.

The Baltimore Ravens, at 4-2, are also a potential destination.

After losing Geno Stone in free agency and witnessing Eddie Jackson's struggles, the Ravens’ secondary has been inconsistent.

Baker could bring stability and physicality to a unit that already features Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams.

As ESPN’s Dan Graziano noted, "Baker would be an impact player for any team needing safety help at the deadline," making all three teams strong candidates to acquire him and bolster their playoff chances.
