Seattle Seahawks Sign Former Vikings Quarterback
Hall, a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of BYU, was waived by the Vikings at the roster cutdown deadline.
Despite Minnesota's efforts to keep him on their practice squad, Hall chose to join Seattle, where he sees a clearer path as the team's third quarterback behind Geno Smith and Sam Howell.
Seattle's interest in Hall dates back to the 2023 draft, and his addition reflects the Seahawks' approach to developing young talent at the quarterback position.

Hall's decision to sign with the Seahawks comes on the heels of an impressive preseason with the Vikings, where he led all NFL quarterbacks in passer rating.
Although Hall had limited playing time, he made a strong impact, throwing four touchdown passes across two games, including a standout performance with 189 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite his preseason success, the Vikings opted for veteran Brett Rypien as their third-string quarterback, leading Hall to seek a fresh opportunity in Seattle. The Seahawks were quick to recognize Hall's potential, securing him as a developmental prospect with considerable upside.

At BYU, Hall was a two-year starter, amassing over 6,000 passing yards and 52 touchdowns while also contributing as a rusher.
His dual-threat capability and experience in high-pressure situations made him an attractive option for Seattle, who view him as a valuable asset to their quarterback room.
