NFL Trade Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Linebacker Micah Parsons Suffers Ankle Injury
The Dallas Cowboys' 20-15 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football may have come at great expense. Two-time All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons left the game with an ankle injury and will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine its severity.
Micah Parsons said X rays on his left foot/ankle were negative and he will get an MRI Friday. He said after the game he felt good but was limping afterward.

Parsons revealed after the game that initial x-rays were negative, indicating that he's not dealing with a significant break. Still, he was limping in the locker room, and a high-ankle sprain remains a distinct possibility. That injury could cost him multiple games.
Though the Cowboys are probably relieved that Parsons appears to have avoided a season-ending injury, any extended absence would be a devastating blow. The Cowboys defense has already struggled through four weeks, allowing 355.25 yards per game (25th in the league) and a frustrating 2.44 points per drive (27th). With 41.5 sacks through 55 career appearances, Parsons is without question their best and most accomplished defensive player.
The Cowboys don't play again until October 6th when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, so Parsons will have 10 days to recover before his next opportunity to see the field. They follow that up with a pivotal NFC clash with the Detroit Lions before taking their bye in Week 7. If the Cowboys can afford to, holding out Parsons until Week 8 may be their best option.
