San Francisco 49ers Sign 8-Year Veteran Wide Receiver
The San Francisco 49ers have signed veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen, formerly known as Robby Anderson, to bolster their receiving corps amid a series of injuries and uncertainty surrounding Brandon Aiyuk's future with the team.
Chosen, 31, brings a wealth of experience from his time with the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, and Miami Dolphins, where he showcased his deep-threat ability, including a standout 1,000-yard season in 2020.

The addition of Chosen is a response to the 49ers' need for reliable depth at wide receiver, especially with Aiyuk's ongoing contract dispute and trade rumors adding to the uncertainty.
Reports suggest that the 49ers have engaged in trade discussions with teams like the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers, with Aiyuk expressing a preference for the Steelers.
However, the 49ers have yet to finalize a deal, particularly one that would bring back a suitable replacement.

While Chosen's recent production has been modest, the 49ers are hopeful that he can recapture some of his previous form and contribute to a receiving unit that has been hit hard by injuries.
His familiarity with systems similar to the 49ers', given his time under Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, who has ties to Kyle Shanahan, makes him a decent addition.
