BREAKING: Dalvin Cook Chooses Playing Destination For 2024

Four-time Pro Bowl running back, Dalvin Cook, is signing with the Dallas Cowboys, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Cook, 29, is coming off a challenging 2023 season where he struggled with the New York Jets and briefly with the Baltimore Ravens, managing just 214 rushing yards on 67 carries.

Despite these recent setbacks, Cook has been one of the NFL's most productive backs over the past five years, amassing over 5,200 rushing yards and ranking as the fourth-leading rusher during that period.

Cook's move to Dallas follows a recent workout with the team, where he impressed enough to secure a spot on their practice squad.

The Cowboys, who have already extended star receiver CeeDee Lamb, saw the need to further bolster their backfield, which includes Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn.

While Cook will start on the practice squad, his experience and proven track record offer Dallas a versatile and seasoned option that could be called up to the active roster as needed. His familiarity with new Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, his former head coach in Minnesota, adds an additional layer of comfort and potential impact.

Despite the challenges of the past year, Cook remains a low-risk, high-reward signing for Dallas, with the potential to rejuvenate his career.
