NFL Trade Rumors: AFC North Team Linked To Courtland Sutton

The Pittsburgh Steelers have emerged as a prominent contender in trade discussions involving Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton, as highlighted by Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report.

Sutton, amidst ongoing contract negotiations with the Broncos and following the departure of Jerry Jeudy, has become a focal point in NFL trade rumors.

The Steelers, seeking to bolster their receiving corps alongside George Pickens, could view Sutton as a prime candidate to elevate their offensive firepower.

With Van Jefferson currently slated as their second wideout, Sutton's proven ability to make crucial plays and serve as a reliable target presents an appealing solution for Pittsburgh.

Last season, the 28-year-old recorded 59 receptions on 90 targets for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns across 16 games played.

For the Steelers, acquiring Sutton would address a critical need in their offensive strategy under quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. His skill set and experience could seamlessly integrate into their game plan, potentially transforming their passing game dynamics.

As Sutton evaluates his future amidst contract uncertainties with Denver, the potential for a trade to Pittsburgh offers a mutually beneficial scenario.

For the Steelers, securing Sutton would not only enhance their offensive capabilities but also solidify their standing as contenders in the competitive AFC landscape.

Over his six-year career, spent entirely with the Broncos, Sutton has amassed 298 receptions, 4,259 yards and 24 touchdowns across 81 games played.

He was the Broncos' second-round pick (40th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
