NFL Rumors: Proposed Trade Sends Brandon Aiyuk To The Commanders
The tension between Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers has been palpable this offseason, casting a shadow over the two sides' relationship.
As the situation continues to evolve, the prospect of a trade is no longer just a rumor but a very real possibility.
According to Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports, a potential trade scenario could see the San Francisco 49ers sending wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to the Washington Commanders.
The proposed deal involves the Commanders receiving Aiyuk in exchange for wide receiver Dyami Brown, a 2025 second-round pick, and a 2025 fourth-round pick.

Last season, the 26-year-old Aiyuk recorded 75 receptions on 105 targets for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns across 16 games played.
This trade would provide the 49ers with a high Day 2 selection and an additional fourth-round pick, giving them a total of six picks in the first four rounds of the 2025 draft.
While Dyami Brown has had three underwhelming NFL seasons, his attributes like blocking aggression and deep speed could quickly fit into Kyle Shanahan's offensive scheme, offering rotational depth behind Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and rookie first-rounder Ricky Pearsall.

This deal would not only fulfill the Commanders' need for a top-tier pass catcher but also help the 49ers acquire valuable draft capital and a potential asset in Brown.
Over 17 games last season, the 24-year-old Brown recorded 12 receptions on 23 targets for 168 yards and one touchdown.
He was the Commanders' third-round pick (82nd overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft.
