Falcons' Kyle Pitts Learning New Position For 2024; "Sky Is The Limit"

Kyle Pitts is reportedly preparing for a more versatile role in the 2024 season as the Atlanta Falcons aim to boost his impact in the passing game.

New offensive coordinator Zac Robinson has revealed that Pitts is learning to play both tight end and wide receiver, essentially mastering two different positions.

This expanded role is part of the Falcons' strategy to fully utilize Pitts' athleticism and playmaking abilities. Robinson expressed excitement about Pitts' potential, stating, "The sky is the limit for what kind of season that he can have."

Pitts has shown significant progress in adapting to his new dual roles, reportedly handling the increased workload well. New tight ends coach Kevin Koger, after conducting a thorough film study of Pitts' NFL games, noted that Pitts displayed impressive speed and agility during his standout rookie season.

Despite injuries and surgery that affected his subsequent seasons, Pitts has been diligently working to regain his previous form.

Koger emphasized that Pitts is now regaining confidence and speed, showcasing his ability to change direction and move quickly on the field, crucial for his expanded role.

The Falcons are keen on leveraging Pitts' physical attributes to create mismatches across the formation. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 247 pounds, Pitts is a formidable asset who can be utilized as a blocker, a receiver, and a playmaker in various scenarios.

With veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins now leading the team and building a good rapport with Pitts, there's optimism that the talented tight end could have a breakout season in 2024.
