NFL Rumors: Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence "80-20" to Play in Week 14
The news just keeps getting better for the Jacksonville Jaguars and their star quarterback. Despite a horrifying ankle injury on Monday Night Football, 2021 first-overall pick Trevor Lawrence earned a questionable tag on this week's final injury report after logging a pair of limited practices. @jaxdotcom reporter Demetrius Harvey even went as far as saying he's "80-20" Lawrence will play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
I’m at about 80/20 now Lawrence will play btw. I think he gives it a go.

Lawrence went down in the fourth quarter of Monday's 34-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. His ankle was stepped on by Jaguars left tackle Walker Little. Lawrence then collapsed awkwardly, pinning and twisting his ankle underneath his leg. He could not stand under his own power and had to be helped to the locker room. He did not return.
Given the alarming scene on Monday, Lawrence's injury status is just about a best-case scenario. The Jaguars are entering a crucial stretch of their schedule: they face a fierce Browns defence in Week 14 before hosting the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15. Two big wins would put them in the hunt to finish the season with the AFC's top seed.
Lawrence hasn't quite lived up to the pre-draft hype that projected him as one of the greatest quarterback prospects of all time, but the Jaguars will need him if they're going to be serious Super Bowl contenders. They rank ninth in scoring this season with 23.8 points per game thanks largely to Lawrence's progress as a passer: his 250.3 passing yards per game and 6.66 net yards per attempt this year are career-bests.
At 8-4, The Jaguars are currently tied with the 8-4 Kansas City Chiefs and are one game behind the 9-3 Ravens and the 9-3 Miami Dolphins for the best record in the conference. A win over the Ravens in Week 15 would earn them a crucial tie-breaker, and the Dolphins have a brutal closing schedule that includes matchups with the Dallas Cowboys, the Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills. Winning out would more than likely earn the Jaguars home-field advantage, and a healthy Lawrence will give them their best chance.
