New England Patriots Quarterback Sees Major Demotion Ahead Of Week 11
The New England Patriots are on pace for their worst season in quite some time with just two wins under their belt in 10 games this season, and now, the organization has found their scape goat in the form of Quarterback Mac Jones.
After being benched in their Week 10 loss, it appears as though Jones will take the brunt of the criticism, as it is being reported that he will 'almost certainly' take up the third string role this week, with Bailey Zappe and veteran Will Grier expected to take over.
While Jones hasn't been great this season (65.4 completion percentage, 10 TD's and 10 Interceptions), he's been far from their only issue, but after taking him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, it appears the team are ready to move on from the former Alabama standout.RUMORS: #Patriots QB Mac Jones will "almost certainly" be benched and will probably be demoted to 3rd-string going forward, @tomecurran says.
