Minnesota Vikings Running Back Suffers Devastating Injury
The Minnesota Vikings pulled off an incredible win on Sunday behind newly acquired Quarterback Joshua Dobbs, even without their biggest superstar on the field, but unfortunately, it wasn't all good news for the NFC North squad.
After speculation, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell revealed to reporters that running back Cam Akers suffered an achilles injury during the win, and given what we've seen from recovery times in recent years, that's going to end his 2023 campaign.
Akers has seen limited action in his five games with Minnesota this season, tallying just 113 yards and 1 Touchdown, but he's a great depth piece for this team, and if they use this win to propel themselves into a playoff push, they'll certainly miss him going forward.Vikings’ HC Kevin O’Connell told reporters that RB Cam Akers suffered an Achilles injury today.
