Report: Pittsburgh Steelers Get Great News On Young QB After Injury Scare
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered another tough loss in Week 4, sending them to 2-2 on the season and second place in the AFC North, but that wasn't the biggest story of the weekend, as young Quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered what some believed could be a serious injury.
Fortunately, it has now been announced that Pickett has avoided a major injury, instead he has suffered a bone bruise in his knee, which will only lead to a short term absence from the team, with the door being left open for him to play in Week 5.
With a bye the week later however, the Steelers are likely to be cautious with their franchise Quarterback, and with just one game separating them and the Ravens atop the AFC North, this makes the most sense as the offence looks to make a big push for the back half of the 2023 NFL season.#Steelers QB Kenny Pickett suffered a bone bruise in his knee that could lead to a short-term absence, per me and @MikeGarafolo. The door is open for Pickett, who also has a muscle strain, to play this week, but the team may be smart with a bye in Week 6. pic.twitter.com/SlbY7FaIa8
