NFL Rumors: Chicago Bears QB Doubtful To Return In Week 8

The Chicago Bears picked up a huge win in Week 7, led by rookie Quarterback Tyson Bagent, but for this franchise to move forward, it's becoming clear that their success will all lay on the shoulders of former first-round pick Justin Fields. 

Unfortunately for Chicago, just as Fields was coming into his own in the 2023 season, he suffered a dislocated thumb, and now Head Coach Matt Eberflus has revealed that Fields' potential return to the field is now officially doubtful for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. 

Bears’ HC Matt Eberflus said QB Justin Fields will once again be considered doubtful for Sunday night’s game vs the Chargers due to his dislocated thumb.

Despite Bagent's solid play in his debut, if the team have any hope of turning their season around and making a playoff push in the NFC North, they need Fields back on the field, and if they can make that happen, this team could be a dark horse squad going forward.
