New York Jets Lose One Key OL, Workout A Veteran Replacement
The New York Jets picked up a key win over the weekend against the Denver Broncos, getting them back to 2-3 on the season, but unfortunately, for the second straight season, their game in the Mile High City has cost them a key young player.
After losing Alijah Vera-Tucker to an injury in Denver a season ago, the same thing happened over the weekend, and while he's expected to be ready to go for 2024, that now leaves them with Max Mitchell as their starting right tackle, and with playoff hopes, it's clear that won't be enough for Gang Green.
Unsurprisingly then was the report on Tuesday that the Jets have now officially worked out La'El Collins, and now, he appears to be working out with the Giants as well, so it looks as though no matter which team it is, the former Bengals standout will have a new team very soon.Former #Bengals OT La'El Collins worked out for the New York Jets today -- and he plans to visit the New York Giants next, per @MikeGarafolo.
