Washington Commanders Front Office Give Update On Potential Name Change
The Washington Commanders have had a fantastic summer, and while not much has changed on the field, they're finally rid of Dan Snyder, and with new ownership comes plenty of optimism, with many expecting yet another name change.
There's a large contingent of Washington fans that have supported a name change back to the Redskins, but now, the front office have confirmed that 'the ship has sailed' on that name, with the Commanders staying for 2023 at least.
On the field, the Commanders have turned the keys to the organization over to second year Quarterback Sam Howell, and with a talented defence along with solid weapons on the outside, this should no doubt be an exciting year for Washington, something they've waited for for a long time. The #Commanders aren't going back to use their old name: 'Redskins', part owner Mitchell Rales said, via @NickiJhabvala

"That ship has sailed."
It's possible team might make a name change though to something else, any suggestions to what it should be?https://t.co/i8LslLBd8u pic.twitter.com/r4yiuPpCiQ
