Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl Defensive Lineman To Miss Up To Eight Weeks
The Pittsburgh Steelers struggled to get much going in Week One of the 2023 NFL season against the San Francisco 49ers, and now, it appears they'll be without perhaps one of their most important players for up to two months.
On Thursday, it has been confirmed that veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward is having surgery to repair an injured groin, and as a result he will miss up to eight weeks of action, potentially keeping him out until Week 10 of the season.
While Heyward may no longer be the player he once was, he's still just as important to the Steelers defence, and with such a stacked AFC North division in 2023, they'll need him healthy if they are to compete against the divisions best, so this will be a big loss for Pittsburgh over the next few months.#Steelers perennial Pro Bowl DL Cam Heyward is having surgery to repair his groin today in Pittsburgh, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
