Report: New York Giants Acquire Former First-Round Pick
The New York Giants have turned their entire franchise around over the past 18 months under Brian Daboll, and today, they made a fantastic trade, banking on the upside of a former first-round pick that hasn't quite hit his strides in the NFL yet.
On Thursday, the team officially acquired Isaiah Simmons from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a seventh round pick in 2024, and given the versatility he brings at the NFL level, this could end up being a steal for New York.
In 50 career games, Simmons has 258 tackles, 7 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 16 passes defended and 4 interceptions, and at 25-years of age, he's still got a very bright future ahead, so this was a very smart move on the part of the Giants.Reports: We have traded for Isaiah Simmons
