NFL Rumors: AFC East Team Still Favoured To Land Veteran Back
The New England Patriots have been the dominant team in the AFC East over the past two decades, but with Tom Brady gone and the other three teams loading up, it appears that they're now heading towards the basement of the division.
Sure, they've added several key pieces this off-season, but now it appears they're still looking to add to their offence, with the team considered the favourites to land former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
After a down year, Elliott has yet to find the deal he's been looking for, but with power and experience on his side, he could be a great backfield partner for Rhamondre Stevenson, and while the Cowboys remain interest, the Patriots are the top option.Update: The #Patriots "remain highly interested" in signing former #Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott, and Dallas are also in the mix to re-sign him, sources tell @jeffphowe
