NFL Rumors: Superstar Wide Receiver Reveals When He Will Consider Retirement
This off-season has been a shocking one for the NFL, and of all the moves made, perhaps the most shocking of all was the Arizona Cardinals inability to get any trade value out of a top wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins, who now finds himself as a free agent for the first time in his career.
While most believe he's still got plenty to offer at the highest level, there have been some calls that Hopkins is past his prime and no longer a potential No. 1, and today, Hopkins revealed his thoughts on that, and just when he will retire from the NFL.
"I'll retire from football when I'm not a 1k-yard receiver" were his words, while commenting that he was on pace for 1,400 yards last year if not for injury, and if healthy and in the right situation, he could no doubt still be one of the 10-15 best receivers in the NFL.Update: DeAndre Hopkins says he'll retire from football once he's "Not a 1,000 yard receiver"
