NFL Rumors: "One Team Still Pursuing" Star Free Agent DeAndre Hopkins
The New England Patriots have made moves to bolster their wide receiver corps, including extending DeVante Parker's contract and expressing continued interest in free agent DeAndre Hopkins.
Despite signing Parker to a new three-year deal worth up to $33 million, with $14 million in guarantees and game-day roster bonuses, the Patriots' pursuit of Hopkins remains unaffected.
The team's optimism for signing Hopkins later in July has not waned. Parker's contract details, revealing a low guaranteed base and incentive-based structure, indicate that it won't hinder the Patriots' pursuit of Hopkins.

Reports suggest that Hopkins is taking his time to decide on a new team and that the Patriots are still in the running as a potential landing spot.
With quarterback Mac Jones set to lead the offense, the addition of Hopkins would provide a significant boost to the Patriots' receiving options and aid Jones' development under new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien.
Despite missing half the season due to a suspension, Hopkins didn't miss a beat in his return, hauling in 64 of 94 targets for 717 yards and three touchdowns over nine games.
