NFL Rumors: NFL Blames Players For Super Bowl Drama And Criticism
While the latest Super Bowl was a fantastic matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, many fans and players came away from the game disappointed at the condition of the field, as players were slipping seemingly every play, and apparently, they're not the only ones that are annoyed.
According to a report, the NFL have communicated to owners when questioned that the players were at fault for it all, as they were wearing the wrong type of cleats, despite several players changing them throughout the game.
Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson responded to this news saying that he changed his cleats three times before the game to deal with the field, but still struggled to find his footing, and at this point, it's hard to be surprised that the NFL are finding someone else to blame on this issue, especially given the cost of the field.Report: The NFL privately blamed the #Eagles and #Chiefs players for all the slipping in the Super Bowl, per Mike Florio.
