New York Giants Reach Massive Extension With Top Offensive Tackle
The New York Giants have had a very big few days, as they have now officially followed up the one-year deal for star running back Saquon Barkley by handing out a long, lucrative deal to one of their best all around players.
After drafting him No. 4 overall back in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Giants have now handed a five-year, $117.5 million deal to left tackle Andrew Thomas, with $67 million of that fully guaranteed, a deal that will keep him in New York until the end of the 2029 campaign.
Thomas has steadily improved every year he's been in the NFL, culminating in a second-team All-Pro selection for the 2022 NFL season, and now he has been handsomely rewarded for being one of the most reliable players on this team since being drafted.Left tackle Andrew Thomas and the Giants reached agreement on a 5-year, $117.5 million extension that includes an offensive-line record $67M fully guaranteed at signing, tying him to New York through the 2029 season.@JohnThornton of @RocNationSports confirmed the deal to ESPN. pic.twitter.com/FTHq1VFlfL
