Minnesota Vikings And Star Pass Rusher Agree To New Deal
The Minnesota Vikings have made some big changes this off-season as they look to continue building on their successful 2022 season, and after weeks of rumours, the team have finally made a decision on star pass rusher Danielle Hunter.
Despite reportedly exploring a trade, the Vikings have now come to terms with Hunter on a new one-year deal that is worth up to $20 million, including $17 million guaranteed and a no franchise tag/transition tag provision.
In 102 games with Minnesota, Hunter has been a model of consistency, tallying 379 tackles, 7 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries, 6 passes defended and 71 sacks, and after 10.5 last season, it appears the Pro Bowl pass rusher is still playing at a very high level, making this a great move for both teams. With the #Vikings agreeing to terms with Danielle Hunter on a new 1-year deal worth up to $20M, per me and @TomPelissero, Hunter isn’t going anywhere.
