Detroit Lions Host Free-Agent QB for Visit
According to NFL insider Field Yates, the Detroit Lions hosted free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for a visit on Monday (July 24).
The Lions have been linked to Bridgewater for quite some time, and they even reportedly sent him a "strong offer" earlier this offseason. Now, multiple months later, they are at least still considering bringing in the veteran quarterback given this latest development.
If the Lions officially sign Bridgewater, it will reunite with Lions head coach Dan Campbell. Bridgewater had Campbell as a coach during his time with the New Orleans Saints.
Bridgewater spent this past season with the Miami Dolphins, where he threw four touchdowns, four interceptions, and 683 passing yards. He also completed 62% of his passes.
We will need to wait and see if the Lions and Bridgewater end up striking a deal from here.
