Dallas Cowboys Sign Star Defensive Back To Massive Extension
The Dallas Cowboys have had a solid off-season thus far, as they've made several additions on both sides of the ball, but on Tuesday among a flurry of news in the NFL, they locked down one of their most important players to a long term deal.
The team have officially announced a five-year, $97 million extension for cornerback Trevon Diggs, making him the fifth highest paid cornerback in the NFL despite being only 24-years of age, with a bright future ahead of him.
In just three seasons in the NFL with Dallas, Diggs has already racked up an impressive 17 interceptions, and while he can get burned for a big play every so often, he's plenty talented and young enough to continue growing, so this is a solid move for the Cowboys. The #Cowboys and two-time Pro Bowl CB Trevon Diggs are finalizing a five-year, $97 million contract extension, per sources.
