Report: Veteran NFL Linebacker Officially Announces Retirement
The NFL has seen so many incredible defensive players over this past generation, and due to this, there's plenty of great players that go overlooked despite great careers, and on Wednesday, one of those officially came to an end.
Alec Ogletree was a first-round pick of the then St. Louis Rams back in 2013, and over a nine year career with the Rams, Bears, Giants and Jets, he racked up 111 games played with 766 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 13 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 12 interceptions and 61 passes defended, being a solid contributor everywhere he went.
After not playing in the NFL since 2021, where he started all 16 games for the Chicago Bears, Ogletree has officially called it quits on a very respectable career at 31-years of age, and with so much experience and football knowledge, there's no doubt he may carry on in football in a different capacity.Veteran LB Alec Ogletree announced that he’s retiring from the NFL after 9 seasons.
