Police Conclude Investigation Into Incident Involving Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver
It appears Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will avoid major consequences for an altercation that occurred this past weekend. According to FoxSports640's Andy Slater, local police will not pursue charges against the seven-time Pro Bowler for an alleged assault and battery at a Miami Beach marina on Sunday.

Cops told the alleged victim he would have to go to the state attorney’s office if he decides to pursue criminal charges.
Per Slater, the police's decision does not preclude the alleged victim from moving forward with charges with the state attorney's office. That being said, the case not advancing at this point is a huge win for the Dolphins and Hill.
Hill has a long, uncomfortable history with violence dating back to college. He was dismissed from Oklahoma State in 2014 after being arrested for domestic violence involving his then-pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Epsinal. He eventually pleaded guilty to charges of domestic assault and strangulation.
Hill's troubles have also followed him into the NFL. In 2019, he was investigated for child abuse, which led to the release of a troubling recording in which Hill threatened the child's mother, Espinal. Reports eventually indicated a broken arm suffered by the child was most likely the result of an accidental fall, and charges were not pursued. The Kansas City Chiefs signed Hill to a three-year, $54 million extension later that offseason.
If incidents of that magnitude didn't derail Hill's career, then Sunday's altercation will more than likely quickly fade from memory. Despite his troubles, Hill is a superlative talent: his career-high 1710 receiving yards last season radically transformed the Dolphins' offense into one of the NFL's most explosive units. So long as he remains one of the league's elite talents, he'll get the benefit of the doubt.
