NFL Rumors: Dallas Cowboys Begin Extension Talk With Star Defensive Back
The Dallas Cowboys have been building one of the most impressive teams in the entire NFL over the past few years, and while they don't have any playoff success to show for it yet, this is a team that feels right on the cusp of making a very deep run in the near future.
Now, it has been revealed that Dallas have begun contract extension talks with one of their most promising players in cornerback Trevon Diggs, and with the market value for the best cornerbacks in the NFL sitting at $20 million per year, there's a good chance he gets paid very, very soon.
In three years at the NFL level, Diggs has racked up 169 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 49 passes defended and an incredible 17 interceptions, including a league leading 11 in 2021, and if they are to be a genuine threat in 2023, they need him at his very best.Report: The #Cowboys and CB Trevon Diggs had preliminary talks about a potential contract extension.
