Breaking: Buffalo Bills Extend Promising Young Defender
Over the past few years, the Buffalo Bills have built one of the most impressive rosters in the entire NFL, and they've done so through the draft, free agency and big trades, but perhaps one of their most underrated moves was drafting defensive tackle Ed Oliver in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Today, the Bills rewarded Oliver for a fantastic start to his career, as they have officially given him a four-year, $68 million extension that includes upwards of $45 million in guaranteed money, locking down one of the key pieces to this very talented defensive unit.
In 62 games played over his four year career, Oliver has been a steady contributor, racking up 151 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 11 passes defended and 4 forced fumbles, and if they are to realize their Super Bowl dreams in 2023, he'll be a big part of that defensively.Former ninth overall pick DT Ed Oliver and the Buffalo Bills reached agreement on a four-year, $68 million extension, including $45 million guaranteed, per source. Oliver had one year left on deal and is now tied to Buffalo for next five seasons.
