Washington Commanders Release Talented Young Cornerback

The Washington Commanders have made plenty of moves this off-season, and while some of them have been solid, others have been puzzling, including the decision made today to release a talented young cornerback who was just acquired this off-season.

That would be former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler, who was claimed on waivers less than three months ago by Washington, and now, before Training Camp can even begin, the team have officially cut him, with no reasoning given just yet.

In his three years in Minnesota, Dantzler was a solid contributor, playing big minutes for a solid defensive unit, racking up 17 passes defended, 3 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries, but now, this is the second team to release him this off-season, which could be a very bad sign.
