Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Veteran Pass Rusher
Over the past few years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have assembled one of the best defensive units in the entire NFL, led by the likes of Minkah Fitzpatrick and T.J. Watt, and now, they've added a solid veteran to the mix to help them get after the Quarterback in 2023.
On Friday, the team officially signed former Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Markus Golden, who excelled back in 2021, racking up a solid 11 sacks on the year, and while he only followed it up with 1.5 a season ago, he's a proven commodity.
Over his nine year career, Golden has accumulated 47 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries, 1 interception and 7 passes defended, and with the team he's now got to work with defensively, those numbers could rise again in 2023.Update: The #Steelers signed Edge Markus Golden to a 1-year deal, per @AdamSchefter
