Pittsburgh Steelers Legend Reveals He Wasn't In Support Of Young QB Early In His Career
In the 2022 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers landed who they believe is the future of their franchise in Quarterback Kenny Pickett out of Pitt, and while he showed flashes in his rookie year, he definitely had his doubters early in his career.
One of those doubters happened to be the last great Quarterback of the Steelers in Ben Roethlisberger, who recently revealed to Pickett that he didn't want him to succeed because he followed up Big Ben as the QB in Pittsburgh.
Now however, Pickett has won him over, with Roethlisberger telling him that he believes Kenny will be the future of the Steelers organization, and while that's a positive, it's not a good look for Ben to be so hostile towards any young QB coming into the organization.Ben Roethlisberger admits he initially didn't want Kenny Pickett to succeed when he took over as starter. But he apologized for those feelings.
