NFL Rumors: New York Giants Star Rejected Massive Contract Offer

The New York Giants were an absolute revelation in 2022/23, getting all the way to the NFC Divisional Round, setting themselves up for a massive off-season, and while they got the long-term signatures of Daniel Jones and Dexter Lawrence signed, the same can't be said for running back Saquon Barkley.

Ultimately, the team ended up using the franchise tag on the superstar back, but now it has been reported that Barkley rejected an offer from New York that would pay him up to $14 million per season going forward.

The report reiterates that Barkley is looking to get paid the same as San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, and given his talent, that's not an unreasonable ask, but right now, it appears New York aren't willing to go that high.
