NFL Rumors: New England Patriots Intentionally Messed With Division Rival At 2023 NFL Draft
It's no secret that the New England Patriots and New York Jets don't get along well as they are bitter AFC East rivals, but adding to that is the fact that legendary coach Bill Belichick once coached the Jets, and has now dedicated the past twenty plus years of his career dominating them alongside Tom Brady.
The Patriots haven't quite been the same since Brady's departure, but their hatred of the Jets continues, as Belichick reportedly traded the No. 14 overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a discounted rate purely to 'f with the Jets', who wanted Broderick Jones with their No. 15 overall selection.
At the time, this appeared to be the case, but now an NFL General Manager has revealed to The Washington Post that they believe this is what happened, so it's safe to say that one of the AFC's best rivalries is still alive and well.Report: #Patriots Bill Belichick just wanted to "f--k the Jets" when he traded with the #Steelers during the Draft, an NFL GM told the @washingtonpost
