NFL Rumors: Legendary Wide Receiver Had Two Offers Before Choosing Retirement This Off-Season
After an incredible career with both the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals, legendary wide receiver A.J. Green called it quits on a fantastic career that spanned 12-seasons, but now it's been reported that there was plenty of interest had he not wanted to continue on.
Reportedly, both the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons wanted to bring Green in to be a good veteran presence for their locker rooms, as well as remaining a threat on the field, but ultimately, Green chose a well deserved retirement after a great run.
Over the course of his 12-year career, Green tallied 727 catches for 10,514 yards and 70 Touchdowns, and although he was never able to win a Super Bowl, he will be remembered as one of, if not this generations best wide receiver.
