NFL Rumors: Indianapolis Colts Rookie Already Making Big Strides
The Indianapolis Colts made a fantastic pick in the 2023 NFL Draft when they picked up Florida Quarterback Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick, and while many considered him a project Quarterback, owner Jim Irsay claimed that he would no doubt start some games in his rookie campaign.
That didn't mean he would be the immediate starter, but now, he has reportedly been impressing so much in Colts OTA's that he has now begun splitting first-team reps with Gardner Minshew, a sign that he could eventually becoming the Week 1 starter.
The 21-year old will still need to continue his progressions, as the Colts will be looking to compete for a wide open AFC South crown this season, but if he continues to impress like this, Indy may have no choice but to start the rookie immediately.Update: #Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson is already splitting 1st-team reps with veteran Gardner Minshew, per coach Shane Steichen.
