NFL Rumors: Detroit Lions Trending Towards New Contract For Veteran Quarterback
The 2023 NFL Draft is done and dusted, and we saw an amazing weekend with plenty of surprising, bad and fantastic moves, and one in the latter was the move by the Detroit Lions to pick up Tennessee Quarterback Hendon Hooker in the third round.
That may signal to some people that the Jared Goff era could be coming to an end soon, but now, reports have emerged that the team are trending towards giving him a new contract sometime before the 2024 NFL season.
He may not have worked out in Los Angeles after being the No. 1 pick, but with this young offence in Detroit, he looked energized in 2022, and with the team looking to compete for an NFC North crown, he's looking to solidify himself as an elite Quarterback in the NFL.INTERESTING: The Detroit #Lions are trending towards giving quarterback Jared Goff a new contract sometime in the next 15 months, per @davebirkett of @freep.
