New York Jets Star Pass Rusher Agrees To Reworked Contract
The New York Jets have made some massive moves over the past two off-season's, most notably bringing in four-time MVP Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but given his hefty price tag, they needed to make some more moves if they wanted to be flexible with the salary cap.
While safety Jordan Whitehead and wide receiver Corey Davis still carry huge cap hits, today, the team reworked the deal of pass rusher Carl Lawson, creating $12.7 million in 2023 cap space for New York, with plenty of ways to utilize it.
The most obvious move here is to use this money to potentially work on a massive extension with All-Pro Quinnen Williams, but with A-Rod's contract needing work and potential depth at linebacker, this move could help this team in a big way for 2023.Jets DE Carl Lawson has agreed to a reworked deal, per source.
