Detroit Lions Waive Wide Receiver
The Detroit Lions have made a minor roster move, as they have waived wide receiver Stanley Berryhill.
Berryhill's release is not particularly surprising, as he was suspended last month for gambling. Furthermore, the Lions also recently released Quintez Cephus and C.J. Moore for the same exact reasons. Jameson Williams, on the other hand, is the lone Lion still with the team.
Berryhill made four appearances for the Lions last season. Overall, he did not make the biggest of impact when utilized, and now we will need to wait and see if another team takes a flyer on him.
When noting that Berryhill is still just 24 years old and possesses good upside, it seems possible that another club could take a chance on him. If Berryhill finds a new home, he will first need to serve his six-game suspension. Time will tell if he gets a second chance from here.
