Denver Broncos Invite Top XFL Quarterback To Training Camp
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and, most recently XFL QB, Ben DiNucci, has been invited to the Denver Broncos' rookie minicamp.
DiNucci, who was drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft, appeared in three games for the Cowboys as a backup quarterback in his rookie season, throwing for 219 yards.
He spent the following season on the Cowboys' practice squad but failed to secure a spot on their active roster or practice squad in 2022.

After a year off from football, DiNucci joined the XFL and played for the Seattle Sea Dragons during the 2022 season. He became the league's top passer, throwing for 2,671 yards and scoring 20 touchdowns while completing 64.7% of his passes.
However, he also led the XFL with 13 interceptions.
The Denver Broncos have taken notice of DiNucci's solid performance in the XFL and have invited him, alongside two other XFL players, to compete in their rookie minicamp.

Second chances are hard to come by. Can’t say thank you enough ❤️
Seattle, you guys were incredible all year long. It was an honor.
Football is fun. Playing again is fun. No reason not to smile.
Onward & Upward.

Currently, Denver has an open competition for the backup quarterback position behind Russell Wilson, with only two other quarterbacks, Jarrett Stidham and Jarrett Guarantano, on their roster.
Stidham, however, would figure to be the heavy favorite to win the job.
It remains to be seen how DiNucci will perform during the rookie minicamp, but the opportunity to showcase his abilities in front of NFL coaches and executives could potentially lead to a spot on the Broncos' roster or practice squad. Photo Credit: Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports
