Carolina Panthers Head Coach Compares Rookie To NFL Legends
The 2023 NFL rookie Quarterback class has a chance to be genuinely special, with Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson all expected to be the future of their respective franchises, but it's Young that was coveted most, with the Carolina Panthers trading away a haul to get the No. 1 pick and the opportunity to draft him.
Reportedly, Young has been impressing the higher ups in his first weeks as the new face of the franchise, with Head Coach Frank Reich comparing his football IQ to the likes of legendary Colts Quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.
While Reich isn't saying Young could live up to the careers of either man, this is massive praise for such a young Quarterback, and given the success in his reported pre-draft testing, it appears that at least from the mental aspect, the former Alabama star is ready for the NFL.Bryce Young reportedly has a football IQ that is “on par” with Peyton Manning, and Andrew Luck according to Panthers head coach Frank Reich.
