BREAKING: Houston Texans Sign Veteran Cornerback
The Houston Texans have been arguably the worst team in the NFL over the past two years, but now, with new Head Coach DeMeco Ryans, they appear to be turning it around in a big way, and with their Quarterback of the future now hopefully settled, they've done a good job bringing in some veterans recently.
On Saturday, they added to that with former Seahawks and Jaguars cornerback Shaq Griffin, who was released by Jacksonville earlier this off-season, and will now join their division rival on a one-year deal.
The 27-year old has spent six seasons in the NFL, racking up 6 interceptions and 59 passes defended in 79 games with Seattle and Jacksonville, and will now get the chance to start for Houston, proving why he may be one of the most underrated players in the NFL.Former Seahawks and Jaguars cornerback Shaq Griffin - who signed a three-year, $40 million deal with Jacksonville in 2021 but was released in March - is now set to stay in the AFC South and sign a one-year deal with the Houston Texans, per sources.
