BREAKING: Cleveland Browns Acquire Star Pass Rusher
The Cleveland Browns have been building quite the solid roster over the past few seasons, and while the acquisition of Elijah Moore to help DeShaun Watson and this offence was a great move, on Friday, they made an even bigger one.
Late on Friday afternoon, the Browns officially made a deal with the Minnesota Vikings, acquiring star pass rusher Za'Darius Smith for a pair of fifth round picks, pairing him with Myles Garrett on this potentially scary defensive unit.
In his eight seasons in the NFL, Smith has racked up 54.5 sacks, including 10, 12.5 and 13.5 in his past three full seasons, and in a tough AFC North division, he'll be needed if the Browns are any chance at a playoff berth. The #Vikings are trading three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Za’Darius Smith to the #Browns, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
