Washington Commanders Take Step Towards Selling Franchise
The NFL off-season thus far has been a wild one, and through all the intriguing storylines, the biggest of all has been the potential sale of the Washington Commanders, and now it appears that the big move is right on the one-yard line.
On Thursday, current Owner Dan Snyder and the owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils Josh Harris have reached an agreement for the $6.05 billion sale of the Commanders, and while it's not yet a done deal, the agreement appears to be all but in place.
After the Denver Broncos were sold for $4.5 billion, this is now the biggest sale of a sports franchise in history, and while it may still take some time for a deal to be done, it appears that the Snyder era in Washington is finally over.Sources: #Commanders owner Dan Snyder and #76ers and #Devils owner Josh Harris have now reached an agreement on a sale to Harris’ group for $6.05B.
